***8/4/21 UPDATE**

The Board of Education met in a special meeting on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 and passed a Continuation of Learning Plan for the 21-22 school year. This plan could change based on, if any, state mandates from the IL State Board of Education, IL Department of Public Health and/or the governor.

To date all M-R schools are planning for a 5 day, full day school day. Information regarding COVID mitigations, masks will be available soon.

*** 5/20/21 ***
For the 2021-2022 School Year M-R will follow all IDPH and ISBE guidelines for establishing attendance guidelines and school hours. 

Pending negotiations with the M-R Education Association regarding Remote Learning, the District is planning on 5 day, full day, in person classes for K-12th grade students. According to a May 2021 Resolution from the Illinois State Board of Education (view it here) "...all school must resume fully, in person learning for all student attendance days ... (and) remote instruction be made available for students who are not eligible for COVID-19 vaccine and are under a quarantine order by a local public health department or the Illinois Department of Public Health."

M-R CUSD#238 is surveying parents of Spring 2021 students only to identify who may be eligible for remote instruction in the 2021-2022 school year. Remote parents and guardians should check their email for a link to a form and if you have any questions please contact your student's school.
